OUR TEAM

We are blessed to serve with dedicated local pastors and church leaders, construction masons, skilled translators and an incredible ministry cook, all who help make the mission experience seamless and meaningful. We also extend our gratitude to our advisors in Yucatan and our Action Team from our home church who have supported us with their invaluable guidance and prayers. Meet the team below.

Local Church Pastors & Leaders

Our ministry would not be possible without the direction and foresight of dedicated local pastors and church leaders who know their communities best and guide us to those who are in need. Putting their faith in action, they work behind the scenes and oftentimes are found right next to our masons shoveling and mixing. They are our resources to vendors and connection to local municipals who can aid us with electricity and water supply.  Sharing the good news of Jesus Christ  to their communities, they shepherd us with their guidance and bring biblical and spiritual insight to the work field.

Construction Masons

“Los Jefes,” Cristino and his brother Charlie are awesome builders and demonstrate a work ethic like no other. But they do more than construction. With their easy  and caring nature, they build relationships. They have the ability to easily interact with and motivate teams with their humor and teaching style. Dedicated to serving others, they create a strong bond with the families and churches we serve.

Local Translators

Over the years, God has lead us to some very gifted local Christian translators who we have used in ministry. They are invaluable to us, interfacing between hosting churches and visiting teams. They relay work instructions from the construction masons, help you during Vacation Bible School activities and translate sermons to English. We are blessed to see Kawika, our bilingual son, developing as a translator as well.

Ministry Chef

Adapting to whatever pueblo condition we must “set up camp” in, our ministry chef Cheli does an amazing job. An award-winning cook, she takes proper sanitary steps in preparing Yucatecan meals, overseeing other cooks in the pueblos who volunteer in the kitchen. Doña Cheli was featured in a gourmet cooking channel, Abuelita Linda, and was one of 3 women across Mexico who won the program contest. We are so blessed to give groups a taste of her impressive knowledge of traditional Yucatan cuisine.
